I'M BAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A week ago but shush =P
How have you all been fairing? ^O^ I missed you all! ^O^ Japan was A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really incredible, the trip was. I took a bajillion pictures, and as I promised (?) I will relate it all to you lot! ^O^ We saw a lot of historical places, and *I* saw BISHIIES!!!! mwhahaha! I took so many pictures of JPop people XDD I'll have an entry per day. Today is Saturday, which is when my trip started. So it's like starting the trip all over again!! ^O^!! hehe!! ^O^ So no interviews for a while XD hehe ^O^ Thank you everyone for your comments on the Gackt and Miyavi Valentine Specials! ^O^ Your comments are greatly appreciated! ^O^
The trip began on Saturday night, the 18th and went all the way to the next Saturday night, the 25th ^__^ Just to explain a bit, this trip I go on once a year (just for my HS years actually) is a programmed arranged by the school entitled Week Without Walls (or WWW, for short). It's a whole week in which no HS students are sitting in class getting bored to death but are actually out in the wilds and doing hands-on learning. Teachers would arrange a trip for students to participate in, and students can choose which one they would like to do for a week. There are both in and out of country ones ^O^ In 9th grade, I did an orphanage; a very gratifying experience, but makes me so sad everytime I recall my time there. 10th grade, I did tennis XD I still have the sunburns/tans! 11th grade was probably one of the best trips in my entire life, which was to Italy! And now finally! My last year! JAPAN!
So a whole week! hee!! ^O^ Enjoy! I hope you all like my story m(-_-)m! I have named my Japan entries, "JAPAN CHRONICLES" bwhahaah!
JAPAN CHRONICLES ~part one~
So the first day was Saturday the 18th, 2006. I spent the whole daytime finishing packing XD It was odd though, it didn't really HIT me that I was going to JAPAN until I stepped out of the house to go to the airport! Then the whole car ride there, I went completely nuts and completely giddy and was practically screaming into my sweater XDD Nothing happened much on this day because it was just arriving at the airport and boarding the plane to Nippon! or so I thought ^~^" A mere minute after arriving at the airport, I was already in a pickle! I couldn't find my group! We were to meet at 9:30pm O_O It was already 9:23pm and I didn't see anyone in my group! I was running around completely frantic, until I found someone in my group (just one). I thought that I was saved until I found out that, that person was just as clueless as I was X_X My mom finally told me to check the schedule again (to see where was the meeting point), it turned out that I went waaaaaaaaay pass it XDD So we walked back and found our group standing there =P Our group this time had about 20 kids, and 4 advisors.
I joined our group and after my family left, I began mingling with my friends. About ten minutes passed until my friend pointed out the one of the advisors shoes. It was a really weird pair ^O^" Half-sneakers, half-flipflops. I was staring at it for a while when a sudden realization hit me! I FORGOT MY BOOTS!!!!!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Our teacher had told us beforehand that it would be snowing and raining in Japan and that we should bring a pair of shoes that would help protect us from the wet. I had on my crap sneakers that couldn't even survive a walk through a wet soccer field during PE X_X I immediately called my mom and wailed XD She said not to worry and that they'd bring the boots for me =P So they would have to go home, and then come back to the airport ^~^" Waahh...I wuv them *_* Luckily we live sorta close too...but the next 20 minutes was just agonizing X_X I was running around in circles waiting, and looking behind me just in case my group decided to leave me behind O_O Which they did. Well, they began checking in their bags. So they moved away about 5 meters XD I could still see them. Phew. My mom finally came with my boots and I switched into them =P After hugging her good-bye again, I joined my group in my awesome boots that echoed everytime I walked O_O Mwahaha.
We were checking in our bags (ha! mine only weighed 5.5 kg!! My friends were all over 10!! bwahahaha!) until I realized that it was already past 10pm O_O Our plane was to leave at 11:59pm EXACTLY (or so it said in the schedule XD). But it was already past 10pm, and we still haven't gotten our boarding passes O_O When we finally got them though, we had to go through passport check. And it was JAMMED PACKED. The people in line were spilling out through the entrance! X_X We got in line and luckily our line was the fastest XD It was pretty fun waiting in line though because all us Thai kids were in the foreign lines, and we weren't sure if we could go through XD When I went up to the counter I totally stared at the little camera they had set up XD My other friends kept making faces at it and looking back and forth. So not suspicous ^O^"
12 of us got through and by that time it was already 11:30pm!! Everyone was still behind us O_O We were so freaked out we would miss our plane so we all RAAAAAAAAAAN to our gate, Gate 15. After going through the metallic check (which I always hate the most because I always have a million things hanging from my pants. Mainly my wallet and mp3 player though. My two necessities in life XD), we found people sleeping against the walls O_O I guess they were waiting for the gate to open? Since everyone was against the walls, there was a huge space in the middle, which is where we camped. The next few minutes consisted of sleeping on our bags, taking pictures like mad, and singing fake-karaoke XDD! I think we really annoyed the people around us =P A lot of them were staring..I think we seemed like a circus animal show to them though XDD
Then a stewardess came out of our gate and started saying something in Japanese. With my awesome Japanese skills, I didn't understand a single word she said XD I had to ask her in English and Thai XD She said that the passengers of Gate 15 must now move to Gate 1 due to some technical problems. Gate 1!! That's way on the other side of the airport!!! So we all trudged our way to Gate 1 (on the way we also found the rest of our group who were just getting in line for the metallic check ^O^"). That was the first taste of just how much walking this trip would have X_X When we FINALLY reached Gate 1, we had to go through the metallic check again @_@ I had to take off all my precious things again Q_Q
We all sat down at Gate 1 and waited to board the plane. More picture taking madness ensued XD. After about 10 minutes, some lady started announcing something in Japanese through the speakers (why is it all in Japanese!?!? We're in THAILAND, for crying out loud!!) and suddenly everyone started piling out! We then discovered that we, the ex-passengers of Gate 15, the new passengers of Gate 1, must now move BACK to Gate 15!! The heck!?!? This time, we all walked back the other way through the metallic check thing, which was beeping like crazy XD Another looong treck back to Gate 15, and ANOTHER metallic check thing (GAAAHH!!!! I just stuffed everything in my bad after that =_+), we FINALLY got to enter our gate =_= By that time it was already past midnight.
But who said that the wait was over? When we finally got into the Gate 15 waiting room, we had to WAIT MORE(which suits the name, I suppose). For about half an hour, our whole group scrunched up on the floor between the little ails (because all the seats were taken). I almost starved to death X_X Luckily my friend was nice enough to give me a chocolate granola bar else I would've passed out right there and then XD It was pretty funny what happened afterwards because a lady announced over the speakers, "All passengers please get ready. We are now boaring the plane for Japan..." and EVERYONE got up and started lining up at the door, but NO ONE moved for 10 minutes -_-" They didn't open the gate +_+ "Who said we were going?" remarked my friend =_+ So we allll sat back down and almost fell asleep on each other ^O^" But then! At last! They opened the gate! The REAL gate, that would lead us into the plane! It was already 1:30am by then X_X (pssh!! So much for 11:59 departure time!)
Everyone was sorta cranky as we all thought that this delay would affect our schedule in Japan the next day, but when we got on the plane, the captain announced that it would only take 3 hours to get to Japan! That's half the usual time! Usually, it's six hours O_O I guess they flied faster because of the delay. So now problems for the plans the next day ^O^
That was our adventure at the airport. It was enough to render everyone dead XD We all passed out on the plane pretty much XDD That was it for Saturday ^O^
Our destination? OSAKA, JAPAN!!!
Tune in tomorrow when I put up my pictures!! (I didn't take any pictures at the airport ^O^")

Date: 2006-03-03 07:00 pm (UTC)I hate airports!! They drive me insane!! I used to love it when I was a kid because my parents would take care of everything and I liked shopping in the bookstores they have. XD But I still like sitting on the plane if the flight is not too long. ^_^
