w-inds. - Life on Tour
Year 2004
D.T.'s NOTE: PLEASE keep in mind that I translated this interview myself, and I certainly DO NOT appreciate stealing. If you want to post it on your own site then e-mail me to ask. Okay!??!!? This interview has been translated from a Thai magazine as indicated above. The Thai interview itself was translated from the original, Japanese interview. So you see, as being traslated many times, no doubt the interview has been altered in one way or another. Therefore, it is very liable to mistakes. If you have any comments, questions, or corrections to make, please feel free to e-mail me at destination_truth@yahoo.com. I want to make these interviews as accurate as possible, and would gladly accept any advices or whatever you care to give ^O^ Thanks, and enjoy!
Born to be a singer, life on the road is only obvious for the three boys of w-inds. Therefore, they always have an on-tour life, a life where traveling is only natural. Whether living a life on the bus is happy or sad, you fans probably all want to know right? It's better to hear the answer from themselves, and that's what w-inds. is doing today. Are you ready?
KEITA
RYUICHI
RYOHEI
RYOHEI: This is the third year we've had a tour, I want it to be different from the first and second.
RYUICHI: I didn't feel that everything was great in the first and second tour, but this time I feel that it's become more of a show on stage.
KEITA: But we haven't had anything definite planned yet, so there's not much we can say.
RYOHEI: Everything will be great though, and the atmosphere would probably differ from last year's. Our clothes also have the match the dancers on stage and the atmosphere of the stage. We're having more decorations that usual.
RYUICHI: All our props for the tour this year are also good.
KEITA: We still don't know what new things are in the locations this time though.
RYOHEI: But it will be fun.
RYUICHI: Like the picture of swimming.
RYOHEI: Really? *laughs*
KEITA: You're lying *laughs*

RYUICHI: But are there swim suits?
KEITA: No *laughs*
RYUICHI: Is that so? *laughs* But it was all drawn out. (I really have no idea what they're talking about O_O Maybe plans for the tour...? or pictures on a t-shirt? -D.T.)
RYOHEI: We want to make wearing t-shirts more interesting.
KEITA: About three days ago, something fun happened while I was sleeping. I heard this kind of robotic voice calling, "Keita Keita"
RYUICHI: Ah...did you think it was a ghost?
KEITA: Because the voice sounded weird, but I actually felt that it was fun. *laughs* The hotel we stayed at during tour was really scary, and it was really like that.
RYOHEI: The first time I got haunted by a ghost was when we debut in Osaka. I heard someone walking next to my hotel room door, and I heard someone kick it too. My body twicthed for me to get up.
KEITA: I had something like that recently too. I heard a person floating by.
RYUICHI: You heard it?
KEITA: Yeah...it woke me up, but I didn't feel bad or anything.
RYUICHI: You felt it from afar right?
KEITA: Sometimes at the hotel I hear a woman laughing really loudly "ha...ha...ha" and then it gets softer and softer.

RYUICHI: Hm...
RYOHEI: Something like that happened to me too. In my life, I've had about 3 close encounters with mysteries like this. There was one time, I was sleeping and I heard this woman's voice calling to me really closely. I think the voice was like a wind blowing, it really woke me up.
RYUICHI: Ah...really? I have no problem. I've never met a ghost in my entire life.
KEITA: Something fun on tours would be eating delicious food. Ryohei-kun, Ryuichi-kun, name three of your favorite food.
RYUICHI: First would be the boiled motsu in Fukuoka. Second would be the miso-soup in Nagoya. And third would be cow's tongue in Sendai.
RYOHEI: We have to put it in order too right? *laughs* Well, there's the hot pot in Fukuoka, the tewazaki in Nagoya, and ramen. Oh...there's also the genkiskan food I eat regularly.
KEITA: That's right, there's a new soccer game out for sale near the location of our tour. Everyone likes it.
RYOHEI: Ah...there's the Olympics this year too. but if there's a live broadcast of football, we won't be able to watch it.
KEITA: I want to play football this year too, last year we borrowed a ball from the football coach in Hiroshima, didn't we?
RYUICHI: I have radio control, and I'm taking it on tour too.

KEITA: Recently, I've started to drive. I have a driver's license now too.
RYOHEI: Among us three, I'm the only one without a driver's license *laughs*
KEITA: You could've gotten it before, if you were already 18.
RYOHEI: It's nothing complicated right? *laughs* It just takes time to get pass the first step, but I do intend to get one.
KEITA: You once said that you didn't want to drive though.
RYUICHI: Everytime I invite Ryohei to get a driver's license, he always says no and that he's busy, and maybe next time we'll do it. It's always like that.
RYOHEI: I really think that it'd be terrible because you have to drive with another person during the test, so I got scared.
KEITA: It's not that much of a hassle driving by yourself, but it does feel different from having the manager drive for you.
RYUICHI: Really?...for me it's the exact opposite. When I sit at the back, I don't feel anything because I'd always sleep.
RYOHEI: You can't stop the feeling *laughs*

KEITA: *laughs* And when would you go? Where do you want to go?
RYUICHI: Let's go the beach, because it's nice and warm.
KEITA: It won't be warm at night.
RYOHEI: The beach? Just the three of us? *laughs*
KEITA: Is there something wrong with that? *laughs*
RYUICHI: It's good to go to the beach, it's a program for w-inds. to spend time during vacation. So there has to be three guys. Ah...I'm going to have fun on the beach.
KEITA: Like me *laughs*
RYOHEI: Uh...I want to go to the park and play football.
KEITA: That sounds good too. At the Daidaiki park? Hm...it is close, we can drive there ourselves *laughs* Actually touring is really hardwork, but this year we get to go to places we've never been to before. Places we have been to like Iwate and Shinseki are fun also.
RYOHEI: For the people coming to watch w-inds. for the first time, I want them to listen to all the songs on the album. I think it would be fun for sure.
KEITA: And they'd be excited with the songs they know too.
RYUICHI: Hm...I want the fans to listen to the best. We're going to keep on trying, everyone please come have fun with us!

THE END.
