J-SPY no.61
w-inds. + Impulse - "I'm worried, what should I do?" Interview
Year 2004

D.T.'s NOTE: PLEASE keep in mind that I translated this interview myself, and I certainly DO NOT appreciate stealing. If you want to post it on your own site then e-mail me to ask. Okay!??!!? This interview has been translated from a Thai magazine as indicated above. The Thai interview itself was translated from the original, Japanese interview. So you see, as being traslated many times, no doubt the interview has been altered in one way or another. Therefore, it is very liable to mistakes. If you have any comments, questions, or corrections to make, please feel free to e-mail me at destination_truth@yahoo.com. I want to make these interviews as accurate as possible, and would gladly accept any advices or whatever you care to give ^O^ Thanks, and enjoy!

Being born so good-looking, they still have worries. The three boys of w-inds. turn to Atsushi and Toshiyuki of Impulse for advice. But it's a wonder whether these two will understand the problems of good-looking people. (does anyone know who Impulse is? O_O It's a funny interview, that's why I translated it. I've never heard of Impulse though...-D.T.)

KEITA

w-inds.
TOSHIYUKI
ATSUSHI

KEITA: I want to exercise more.
RYOHEI: Hm...whenever I see Keita I would feel that he tries really hard.
TOSHIYUKI: You don't just want to have muscles, but you really want it to be firm, right Keita?
RYUICHI: Keita told me that he wanted muscles, he didn't want to be fat. In other words, he wanted more muscles but have the same amount of fat.
ATSUSHI: Hm...that's hard to accomplish.
TOSHIYUKI: Looking from the outside, it looks like you're really skinny, but you actually have muscles, huh?
ATSUSHI: Toshiyuki, you're like that too.
KEITA: What's your body fat percentage?
TOSHIYUKI: I've never measure it. I think it's about 11%?
RYUICHI: Keita's is 8% right?
KEITA: Hm...8.5%
TOSHIYUKI: *speechless*

ATSUSHI: Toshiyuki's can't be more than 10%. I think it's more like 5%.
RYOHEI: Toshiyuki-san has muscles?
ATSUSHI: This guy has hard muscles.
TOSHIYUKI: It's not like that...
RYUICHI: Why don't you try arm wrestleing with Keita?
ATSUSHI: So if Keita loses, he'll have to follow Toshiyuki's advice.
TOSHIYUKI: Like in a gameshow on TV. *prepares to arm wrestle*
ATSUSHI: Okay, ready? Start! You're older so you can't lose, Toshiyuki.
KEITA: *smiling very merrily*
ATSUSHI: You have to teach him the mighty of adults!
(Toshiyki and Keita arm wrestle for a very long time until Toshiyuki wins)
RYUICHI: Wow, amazing.
RYOHEI: You really do have muscles.
TOSHIYUKI: I did win, but if you look at our expressions, Keita wins.
KEITA: *the same expression as before* Hahaha~
RYUICHI: When we're in our resting room, Keita can lift an 18kg dumbell with one hand.
TOSHIYUKI: How many bags of rice is that...
ATSUSHI: Why are you comparing it to rice? But if you want my advice, it's better to lift lighter things. Because if you lift heavy things, your muscles will get smaller.
TOSHIYUKI: Keita looks like he doesn't believe you.
KEITA: Well, you said the exact opposite of what the people at the gym I go to said.
TOSHIYUKI: But just now when we competed, I felt that you weren't easy to beat. Let's do it again some other day.

RYOHEI: Okay, my turn to ask. When you don't get enough sleep, what should you do to not feel sleepy? Any advices?
TOSHIYUKI: I understand. The feeling that you want to do this and do that, even though there's so much work that you don't get to sleep.
RYOHEI: If we don't sleep, then there's so much more we can do.
ATSUSHI: Hm...I get that. I don't like to sleep either.
RYOHEI: Then what should we do to not feel sleepy? To be able to be lively and not tired without sleep.
TOSHIYUKI: You have to use "kyojin no nageki" and you won't be sleepy. (does anybody know what this is? as they talk more about it, it seems like an illegal drug -_-" -D.T.)
RYOHEI: Is that a pill?
ATSUSHI: No, it isn't. But I only know that it's called that. I can't tell whether it's a pill or not. Do you use it, Toshiyuki?
TOSHIYUKI: I use it before lives.
RYUICHI: Are there any side effects?
ATSUSHI: There is. When you eat really spicy ramen your bottom burns right? (really??? wouldn't your throat burn...??-D.T.) It's that kind of feeling.
RYOHEI: Where can we find it?
TOSHIYUKI: It's pretty hard to find. How should I say it...well, I have some left, I'll give them to you.
RYOHEI: Is it really expensive?
TOSHIYUKI: Not that expensive.
RYOHEI: Do they sell them at drug stores?
TOSHIYUKI: No, they don't. You have to get them straight from the dealer.
ATSUSHI: It's starting to get too mysterious, like a game. So where is this dealer?
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usImage Hosted by ImageShack.us
TOSHIYUKI: He's in Karuizawa.
ATSUSHI: He must be someone who doesn't like hot weather.
TOSHIYUKI: If you really want it, I can introduce him to you.
ATSUSHI: Toshiyuki is close to the dealer.
RYUICHI: (turns to Ryohei) That's good.
RYOHEI: Yeah, it is. Please introduce him to us.
ATSUSHI: But there are side effects.
KEITA: It doesn't burn to the extent that you can't sleep does it?
RYOHEI: You'd have to call that being sick rather than a side effect. *laughs*
TOSHIYUKI: But not sleeping isn't good for your body. So you have so stay healthy.
RYOHEI: Yes.
TOSHIYUKI: Let's change the subject. Last year we met with w-inds. when we went on the radio program right?
RYUICHI: Ah~yes, yes.
ATSUSHI: *tits his head looking very confused*
RYOHEI: Atsushi-san is asking "when?"
ATSUSHI: I remember...
KEITA: But this morning when we met, Atsushi-san said, "this is the first time we've met." *laughs*
TOSHIYUKI: Really?
RYUICHI: We were really surprised, we just went, "uh...okay...." But the first time we actually met was really fun. That time, Ryohei was saying, "Yesterday, I..."
ATSUSHI: And Toshiyuki, who was sitting next to him, interrupted with "had sex" right?
TOSHIYUKI: I said that? *laughs* But that was the first time working with a boy band like this.
RYUICHI: How did you feel?
TOSHIYUKI: When we first met, I thought that you guys would say "Hey!" But instead you said, "good morning" and you guys bowed too. Super good manners.
ATSUSHI: Very polite.
RYUICHI: That was all just an illusion. *laughs*

TOSHIYUKI: But that day, I couldn't say much. When I went home to shower, I punched the wall thinking "why am I such a loser?"
ATSUSHI: What~you were that bothered? But Keita, you're close with Nishino-san right? Nishino-san told me once that you're a very good kid, when I met you I really did think that you were good kid.
TOSHIYUKI: The other day, Keita and I went to eat at Nishino-san's house too. We also exercised there.
KEITA: Right, right.
RYOHEI: You guys still exercise even at someone else's house *laughs*
KEITA: Actually, by the time I got there, they had already finished eating. I was really hungry too.
TOSHIYUKI: I don't really know much about the music industry. Do you guys go to LA to record?
KEITA: No, we record in Tokyo.
TOSHIYUKI: And you guys record your voices separately, one by one?
RYUICHI: Yes, but most of the time, Ryohei and I would record at the sametime. And Keita's would be recorded before ours.
ATSUSHI: What happens if you're singing live and you forget the lyrics?
KEITA: I would look at Ryohei's or Ryuichi's mouth, and see what they're singing. *laughs* But when rapping, if someone sings wrong, the rest would sing weirdly.
RYOHEI: You wouldn't be able to figure out what comes next.
ATSUSHI: Hm....

RYOHEI: Oh yeah, there was something I wanted to talk about with you guys. When we went on the radio program together, the two of you said that you would come to our live, but you never came.
RYUICHI: Not last year's live nor this year's.
TOSHIYUKI: That time, we were in Germany. It was when we were taking a break from work. When the doctor opened the capsule for us, we punched him and said, "Why didn't you open it sooner? We missed the w-inds. live!"
w-inds.: *laughs*
RYUICHI: There's still the last live at Saitama. Please try and come.
ATSUSHI: Can we join you on stage?
TOSHIYUKI: All the fans would boo us.
RYOHEI: I think it would be fun.
KEITA: We can all come out, holding hands during our enchores.
ATSUSHI: Then the fans would complain, "that guy's holding hands with my Keita!"
RYUICHI: Nah, I doubt that. But please come either ways.
TOSHIYUKI: Okay, we will. I'll give you the "kyojin no nageki" then too. And can the dealer come on stage too?
w-inds: Of course! *laughs*
